We’re very excited that you are considering enrolling with us! We love everything we do here at Team Westbreen, and we hope you will love it too.

Enrolment Information
Our school follows the Department of Education’s Placement Policy for the enrolment, placement, and transfer of students.
Students who live within the school zone are guaranteed a place at our school. To find out whether you live in zone, visit findmyschool.vic.gov.au
Our school has an enrolment restriction under section 2.2.16 of the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 (Vic). Approved entry criteria for our school for the 2026 school year are:
- students who live within the school zone
- students with a sibling attending the school at the same time
- students seeking enrolment on compassionate grounds, in exceptional circumstances.
All students seeking enrolment at our school must meet one of the above criteria to be eligible for enrolment.
The department will review this enrolment restriction yearly and provide updated advice as necessary for the subsequent school year.
Required documents
When enrolling your child you will need to provide the following documentation:
- Completed enrolment form, available by clicking the link Student enrolment form
- Evidence of identity and date of birth (for example, a birth certificate or passport)
- Immunisation Status Certificate
- Proof you reside in our school zone. Click link to check School zones
- Visa documents (if applicable)
You will also be required to provide information about:
- your contact details
- emergency contact details
- health information about your child (such as allergies or illnesses they need to manage)
- other legal orders relating to your child and their welfare (if any)
Foundation (Prep) enrolments
The Department of Education has a statewide Foundation (Prep) enrolment timeline. The timeline advises families when and how to enrol their child into Foundation (Prep) at a Victorian government primary school, including our school. Our school zone is available on findmyschool.vic.gov.au which hosts the most up-to-date information about Victorian school zones.

School Tours
We highly recommend you join us for a tour – we’d love to meet you!
A tour gives us a chance to meet you and your family, and to possibly help with your child’s transition to our school. It also gives you a chance to simply meet us, to ask us any questions you have, and to see our school grounds.
Our School Tours are run on Tuesdays and are by appointment only. Prospective families are welcome to undertake a tour of our school by contacting the school office. If Tuesdays are not suitable, please contact our Enrolment Officer, Kerry Parfett on 03 9306 9481 to make an appointment that works for us both.
Parent payments
Under the Department of Education’s Parent Payments Policy, Victorian government schools are required to provide transparent information to their school community on voluntary parent/carer contributions.
Our Parent Payment Arrangements are approved by school council and distributed annually, outlining the voluntary parent/carer contributions at our school.
Team Westbreen provides students with free instruction to fulfil the standard curriculum requirements, and we want to assure you that all contributions are voluntary. Nevertheless, the ongoing support of our families is paramount to the successful running of our school and ensures that our school can continue to offer the best possible education and support for our students.
The environment and resources that Team Westbreen enjoys today represents the fundraising efforts and volunteering of parents/carers time along with the voluntary financial contributions made by our parent/carer community over the years.
This financial support ensures that we can continue to provide an excellent range of facilities and resources for your children and has allowed us to organise and coordinate rich, extensive programs outside the traditional teaching and learning programs. The voluntary contributions of families in the past have allowed us to update our texts and readers to support personalised and quality learning, reflecting the current interest and passion of our students, supply additional materials to develop our mathematical knowledge and problem-solving skills and has provided enhanced digital learning opportunities. Contributions have also enabled us to purchase materials to support the creativity and exploration in our Arts and Science programs and ensure that all students have access to a variety of equipment to develop active and healthy students.
