Westbreen Primary School’s vision is committed to ‘Learning Together for Life’ and promoting a highly effective learning community. High expectations for all are achieved through an engaging, student-centred, integrated approach to education. Catering for all ability levels and learning styles, staff focus is on maximising learning for every student.
Westbreen Primary School’s mission is to provide a rich learning environment which values and supports diversity, excellence and teamwork and fosters a spirit of mutual respect and support, where every student strives to achieve individual excellence while developing strong social, emotional and academic skills essential for all citizens in this global world.
Our school’s objective is to maximise learning and wellbeing outcomes for all students. Westbreen Primary School believes in providing an inspirational, challenging and safe educational environment that engages students to become confident, effective and responsible life-long learners. Westbreen Primary School also strives to provide a caring and challenging learning environment that equips children with the necessary skills and knowledge to become valued members of the community.
The three circles in our logo represent students, parents/community, and staff. The white circle in the middle represents our students and the red circles either side are for staff and parents/community. The W in the middle represents Westbreen and being encased in a circle represents ‘on going’ which fits with our ‘Learning together for Life’ mantra.
School Values
Our school values of respect, responsibility, achievement, care and compassion and cooperation guide the way that we work together as a community of learners. We tie the values into the life of our school and display our values in all that we do.

The Westbreen Primary School values are further enhanced by our School Wide Positive Behaviour expectations, organised into three guiding principles –be safe, be respectful and be a learner. Our behaviour expectations are defined in our school behaviour matrix in positive language. Expected behaviours are explicitly taught and celebrated across our school and form the basis for our whole school approach to engagement and wellbeing.
Family Engagement
Family engagement is highly valued at Westbreen Primary School and we have a collective belief that:
